Brady,
You’re a year old! We’ve come a long way this year yet we are still learning and growing daily. I’m going to try to not make this a sappy emotional post but I will say this: you have exceeded every expectation I had. You are more amazing, more perfect and more inspiring than I could have dreamt. I expected to love you. I expected to adore you. But I certainly couldn’t have known that I would feel those things time a hundred (and then times that number by another hundred). To me, you are absolute perfection, if there ever was such a thing.
So let’s attempt to sum this year up with all of the things you are doing and loving at this moment, some with video links:
-You can walk!
-You can wave bye-bye.
-You can say: hot, mama, dada, uh oh and yay.
–You clap your hands when someone says yay or if you see other people clapping, including an applause on tv.
-You are off formula!! It’s organic whole milk for you now.
-You want any type of food other people have – you are quite a begger. You even beg people you have never seen before.
-You can open the front door (not good).
-You have eight teeth.
-You adore music and love to dance to anything that you hear that at least resembles music. Once you started dancing to the hum of the floor steamer.
-You are infatuated with other children. You love to watch them, hope they play with you, and laugh hysterically at them when they do.
-You are crazy over books. Love them. Can’t get enough of them. I would say for sure they are your favorite toy. You know how to turn pages and you often will sit on the floor in your bedroom and pretend to read to yourself.
-You’re really loving the outdoors now that it is nice. You like to walk around outside, go to dad’s softball games, go for walks and ride on the lawn mower.
-You also love the dogs and the cat – although the cat does not at all love you back.
-You love peek-a-boo and are constantly trying to entice someone to chase you. You start to crawl away and peak back over your shoulder with a grin, when you make eye contact you take off laughing, thinking we are coming to get you.
Love,
Mama
