(Geeze, am I ever going to be on time with these??)
Brady,
Where did the last six months go? Because yesterday you were two days old and I took a nap and here we are. You are becoming less and less of a baby, sitting up by yourself, eating food, talking… It leaves me excited to see what you will do tomorrow.
You jabber all the time and I feel sure you are just on the edge of making full sentences. I foresee you being the kid that gets in trouble at school for talking to their friends. You never stop. First thing in the morning you start talking to yourself and babble on while lying in bed until you’ve had enough and start to fuss. It is the sweetest sound.
This month you have found a new fascinating part of your body, your feet. They are in your grasp constantly and you even fight your sleep trying to find them. You will be dosing off into dreamland but waving your arm and leg around trying to connect them. It’s pretty funny.
Right when you turned six months I bought a blender with a puree attachment and started making your baby food. First up was sweet potatoes and you hated them, made this awful face like I had fed you something sour. I tried them a couple times, once mixed with formula, then bananas, then bananas mixed with cereal and you made the same face everytime. Then I bought you some food in the can from the baby aisle and you ate every bite. You haven’t given me a bit of grief with food now. Apparently you hate my cooking.
The next month of your life brings your very first Christmas and everyone in the family is so excited and is planning to shower you with gifts. I can’t wait to wake up with you on your very first Christmas morning to see what Santa has left for you. Every day brings something new.
Love,
Mama
