Brady,
This is already the third monthly recap I’ve written to you (very late, btw) and each month gets better and better. You are smiling now which is the most precious thing ever. If you are smiled at you will smile right back, and sometimes I accidentally make some sort of face you find amusing because you laugh at that as well. You’re favorite toy at the moment? Your hands. I keep joking that its a toy we’ll never leave at home.
You are getting better and better at sleeping at night, but you are still sleeping with me. You have got your nights and days down and I’m so glad you seem to know the difference. I’d love to get you into your own bed but I don’t believe you are ready yet. Soon though. Very soon.
Our video camera broke this month and so I have no video to share. I’m itching to buy a new one which is going to have yo happen very soon because the changes you are making on a daily basis are dramatic.
This month there was a scare with you while you were visiting your grandparents one afternoon. You took your first ambulance ride and I was struck with a fear I’ve never known. I choose not to think about the what if’s anymore because it would put me into a corner with my head in my hands every time. You were fine – perfectly healthy and happy and at the end of the day. I spent the rest of the day holding you close and loving on you constantly. It didn’t remind me how much I love you because I never need to be reminded of that. It did remind me however, how incredibly lucky we are that you are healthy. There are so many babies out there that aren’t and so many families that live that fear every day. We are so lucky.
I love you more than you’ll ever know,
-Mama
