So I was putting together my list of books to read this fall – during the dreaded football season and cold, boring Sundays – and I had an idea. Instead of buying all of these, which is my normal approach, I thought I would see if anyone wanted to trade me for a book I have they would like to read. If this doesn’t work out I will do what I should have done a long time ago which is go to the library. First is the list of books that I have to trade – we can either trade for life or we could return them back if you’d like.
90 Minutes in Heaven – Don Piper
A New Earth – Eckhart Tolle
A Million Little Pieces – James Frey (controversy or not, this book is so amazing)
Faith Hill: Piece of My Heart – James L. Dickerson
My Friend Leonard – James Frey (sequel to A Million Little Pieces)
One More Day – Mitch Albom
Running With Scissors – Augusten Burroughs
The Choice – Nicholas Sparks
The Guardian – Nicholas Sparks
The Pursuit of Happyness – Chris Gardner
The Secret – Rhonda Byrne
The Starter Wife – Gigi Levangie Grazer
Why I Wore Lipstick to My Mastectomy – Geralyn Lucas
Witness: For the Prosecution of Scott Peterson – Amber Frey
Here is my list of books to read which I should change from “this fall” to “this year” because even though I plan to read a lot this fall (and winter) I know I won’t read 15 books. Hey wait, that felt like a bit of a challenge to myself. Maybe read all 15 plus the one I’m finishing up now before 2010? Oh, IT’S ON.
Okay now that that’s settled, onto the books I’d like to borrow from you (many from the BBC 100 list). If you have different books you think are fab let me know and I’ll trade you for that one instead!
A Bend In The Road – Nicholas Sparks
Animal Farm – George Orwell
Atonement – Ian McEwan
Fearless – Max Lucado
Jane Eyre – Charlotte Brontë
Love In The Time Of Cholera – Gabriel García Márquez
Middlemarch – George Eliot
One Hundred Years of Solitude – Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Pride and Prejudice – Jane Austen
Rebecca – Daphne Du Maurier
The Art of Racing in the Rain – Garth Stein
The Hour I First Believed – Wally Lamb
The Story of Edgar Sawtelle – David Wroblewski
The Time Traveler’s Wife – Audrey Niffenegger
This Is Where I Leave You – Jonathan Tropper

I would love to trade books with you! I will write a list of mine (I have well over 300 books) but I would like mine back a lot of them were my gramma’s and that all I have from when she was living.

This is a great idea. Unfortunately, I’ve read most of the books you have to trade. I plan on reading Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility soon and would be happy to send it your way once I’m done 🙂 I bought a leather bound version of her entire set so I have no need for the 1 book.
