Some of my favorite books for my kids are by Eric Carle. I love the stories he creates and I am such a fan of the art work. Since last weeks post about Dr. Seuss crafts by book was such a hit, I thought I would do another author; Eric Carle.
Here are some toddler crafts based on each of my top five favorite books by Mr. Carle. Any other authors you want to suggest? Leave a comment!
Eric Carle crafts
1. A House for Hermit Crab – Make a red crab with your hand prints and add googley eyes to the thumbs. Spread some glue around some construction paper and then add some sand. If you have seashells you can add them or even just some seashell stickers.
2. Little Cloud – Let your little ones create their own cloud shapes by painting with white paint and cotton balls onto blue construction paper.
3. Mister Seahorse – I think this may be at the top of my list of favorite Eric Carle books. This craft makes some really pretty and colorful seahorses from construction paper, powdered tempora paint, glue and the secret ingredient: popcorn!
4. The Mixed Up Chameleon – Print out the outline of a chameleon and let your child tear pieces of crepe or tissue paper in different colors to glue on. Then add some googley eyes!
5. The Very Hungry Caterpillar – This is probably his most known and loved book. This craft is really fun and all you do is cut various color and sizes of circles and let your little one glue them together. You can add googley eyes and some pipe cleaners for antennas.

I’m happiest when I have more time to read. As my reading volume rises, it’s becoming more difficult for me to maintain a solid reading-to-assignment ratio. Many students turn to services like https://www.trustmypaper.com/ for help with their homework. Because they adequately reward their authors, this firm has piqued my interest.
