Ninety-eight days remaining.
Wow, less than 100 days! I’m getting so excited and things seem to be falling together just perfectly. I am very thankful that thus far, I have been able to enjoy this chapter in my life and have a good time rather than being overwhelmed with stress. I have wrestled with stress only for a few brief moments in decision making, only because I am concerned I’m not picking the right thing.
This week we have applied for our marriage license. I think this is normally something you do a bit closer to the wedding date, but since it is good for six months I decided to take care of it now. My goal in this whole process has been to get as much done as I can early on so I’m not completely engulfed in wedding plans in September. There is a waiting period after the initial application, then I can drop off our worksheet and pick up the certificate. I think that its crazy that Guy does not have to be present at any of this, nor do I need his driver’s license or social security card. All I need is his signature which, hello, I could totally forge.
Also, today I booked our honeymoon trip to Islamorada, Florida. It is somewhere I have been many times but only when I was much younger, and I usually never ventured anywhere beyond my uncles house and boat. We are staying at the Cheeca Lodge for five days and I am grinning ear to ear. I think spending five days relaxing on the beach, kayaking and swimming with the dolphins is a great way to kick off married life. Hopefully we will have lots of good memories from this trip we can keep with us and remember on the bad days.
Julianne was nice enough this week to print the first batch of 100 wedding invitations. They’ve turned out really cute. The most difficult part is putting them together with the bows etc. It is definitely a slow process but the end result will be very pretty, unique invitations. I have also made some updates and additions to our wedding website if anyone wants to check that out.
