The Keto Myths you need to know before starting a Ketogenic diet.
When my husband and I started keto, I absolutely believed that I would either quit in a few days or I’d murder my husband. Giving up bread and sugar? I’d sooner give up the ability to shed tears or see the color green.
I kept going in spite of myself and now, 35 pounds lighter, I’m going to share these 5 keto myths you need to know so that you can lose weight, too.
Keto Myths
1. Keto means you only eat meat and cheese.
Not true. I can barely stomach most cheeses. If you ever see me chowing down on a big hunk of cheddar, please call the police because someone is behind me with a knife. I like cheese in small doses and even then, not every day.
Same goes for meat. I love a good steak as much as the next person. That doesn’t mean I want to have one for breakfast. Too much of a good thing is too much.
2. It takes a long time to lose weight on keto.
Not true. I started losing within the first 2 weeks. Within 4 months I’d lost all the weight I wanted to lose. Sometimes I think about losing some more, but I’m 53 and need to be careful. If I lose too much weight, my face will start to look like a crumpled up paper bag.
3. Keto is a fad diet.
Not true. This is one of the biggest Keto myths. I can’t see myself ever going back to the way I ate before because it doesn’t appeal to me. I’m not on a “diet.” This is just how I eat.
My body wants to eat healthier foods now. Sounds silly. Totally true.
I cheat sometimes. Oh mercy, y’all. I have times when I cheat. No one can live the rest of their lives without a donut once in awhile! Here’s what keeps me from doing it very often though: it doesn’t feel good.
Donuts are yummy, so sometimes I eat one. Within an hour after enjoying it my stomach feels bad and I start to feel yucky. I think of it as my body’s way of letting me know that what I did wasn’t appreciated.
When you stop being “on a diet” and simply start eating differently, things change for you. I never feel deprived, or hungry, or like I’m missing out on something.
4. Keto weight will come back quickly.
Not true. Another huge Keto myths. My weight left town and hasn’t come back. If I eat something I shouldn’t (aka the donut thing again) I may gain a few ounces – sometimes up to a pound depending upon what I ate.
All I have to do is continue eating the way I know I’m supposed to and the weight disappears in about 24 hours. It’s always amazing to me to watch my body sort of fix itself this way. It’s as though it’s figured out a weight that’s right for me, and it works to keep me there.
5. You have to exercise a lot to lose weight on keto.
Not true. If that were true, I’d still be eating frosting from a can. (True story.) I’m a horrible person in that I hate to exercise. I know. I should be ashamed.
The point is, I didn’t have to exercise and the weight came off easily. You can’t use that as an excuse.

Very informative post!
I believe, our diets are highly individualized and the food we take every day become a part of a lifestyle that ultimately leads to healthy living.

Milk thistle https://www.amazon.in/Prorganiq-Capsules-All-Natural-Silymarin-Supplement/dp/B09WLWJ17L is widely used in cooking and medicine. The plant itself is edible and is often used in dietary nutrition. For example, tea is made from crushed roots or seeds, and seasoning is made from inflorescences, which is added to food.
