Today I am traveling to New York city for the first time ever for the BlogHer15 conference. I am crazy excited because like a lot of people, I’ve wanted to see this beautiful city my whole life. I’m here for just a little over 48 hours and almost all of that time is designated for conference fun. BUT, there is no way I am flying all the way here, staying at a hotel that is .6 miles away from Times Square and not seeing some sights. That would be crazy!
I thought it would be fun to make a little New York bucket list for my afternoon of sight-seeing. Since I’m so pressed on time, I’m going to limit all of my excursions to Midtown. I don’t want to run the risk of getting lost in the subway system going around all the neighborhoods/boroughs/districts… whatever they’re called. Clearly, I’m not from around here.
My Mini NY Bucket List
1. Stand in Times Square.
2. Go to the top of the Empire State Building.
3. Hail a cab.
4. Eat Cheesecake (Junior’s if I can find it).
5. Something else I find that looks awesome.
I’m going to leave number five open to fill in whatever I find that looks awesome. So maybe the bucket list is really only four things. Whatever.
Also, here is what I’ll be blaring in my headphones on the flight. I have this movie-like scene in my head where I fly over New York and see all the buildings for the first time and the lyrics, “these streets will make you feel brand new, these lights will inspire you…” are playing.
New York Play List
