One thing I miss the most about being at home is mornings spent snuggled on the couch watching cartoons; Brady with milk, me with coffee. Pajamas and messy hair. It’s going to be a while until I get those mornings back but Wednesday my sister-in-law drove him up for an early visit.
{I’ll be so happy to start taking pictures on my camera again and not just my iPhone.}
We got to watch his cartoons, eat breakfast in bed and spend some good cuddle time. He almost fell asleep with me for a few minutes but it didn’t happen.
So how is he doing with mama in the hospital? Surprisingly well considering he has barely been away from me his entire 21 months of life and now he’s slept away from me for 11 nights straight. Him and his daddy are best buds and he is perfectly ok to go to sleep for him, which is what I was most worried about. He knows that I am not at home but at the hospital and when they make their exit to come visit he instantly starts saying mama. When he leaves he hugs me, blows a kiss, takes his daddy’s hand and waves bye. I’m so thankful he has adapted so easily and quickly to our new living arrangements. Hopefully it will all be over soon!
Liz is a just a mom trying to keep it real about how little she sleeps, how often she gets puked on and how much she loves them. You can find her here every day writing about real-mom moments.

Kids are so resilient. He’s gonna be just fine. And how nice for you to get the early morning visit 🙂
