Yesterday, Brady used his very own money to pick out a toy he had his eye on the last time we went grocery shopping. On the way out of the store, a huge rack of beanie babies caught his eye, specifically a little kitty cat. I told him that we already paid, so he would have to wait and he was ok with that. But then I looked down a second later and he was carrying out of the store. Oops!
We put it back and I explained he could use his money to go back and get it another time, if he wanted to. He has saved up six whole dollars from not peeing his pants at Grandpa’s. (Grandpa is watching him during the day now and for a couple of weeks, if he made it a whole day without pottying in his pants he got a dollar. He has been potty-trained for almost 6 months now but he reverted back a bit.)
So I took him back yesterday and he immediately spotted the cat. I asked if he wanted to pick out something different and for a moment he reconsidered, but then decided on getting the cat. The tag says his name is Pepper.
He slept with it last night and it is sitting on his lap right now while he watches Daniel Tiger on TV.
Liz is a just a mom trying to keep it real about how little she sleeps, how often she gets puked on and how much she loves them. You can find her here every day writing about real-mom moments.

Hi there Liz.
Can I just say first & far most I am in love with your blog! I actually found your blog on Pinterest. I was looking for some nice DIY crafts & I had seen a post about taking maternity pics yourself. I too love to take pictures but I just don’t think I’m that talented especially since the only camera I use is my iPhone lol. Anyway I read your blog from the day you started it till April 2013. I love your honesty & I love how you let the whole world grow along with you & your family.( if that makes sense). You have a beautiful family! Your blog has brought me tears & laughter in the past 24 hours. I just can’t seem to put my phone down & live life. I’m addicted to your blog. You have actually inspired me to make a blog. ( I already have a blog but its for baking. I am a professional pastry chef) I have actually slacked on that blog. I’ve been so busy & I plan on getting back to it. But you’ve inspired me to get back to it & to also make a life blog. Have you ever thought about writing a book? I would be a major fan. I love the way you write & your creativity, I think you would be an amazing writer. 🙂 any advice for a blog beginner? I honestly don’t even know how or what site to start from. Your advice would be highly appreciated.
-Thank you.
