Here’s a preschool valentine craft for the little ones to try out. It’s super simple! What is great about this is that we had an opportunity to craft AND discuss patterns. We kept it simple with a two color pattern of purple, pink, purple, pink. You could start off that way as well, and then add in a third color to the pattern, or expand on the two colors and do purple, purple, pink, purple, purple, pink. It’s up to you!
Preschool Valentine Craft
What You’ll Need:
- Construction paper
- Twine (or string, or ribbon…)
- Tape
That’s it! I cut the hearts for safety, but if you have a child a bit older and some child safe scissors you could give them that challenge as well.
First we talked about patterns and I let Brady lay them out in the proper order. Then, I placed a large piece of twine down the center and he helped me tape it to the hearts. After we were finished we hung it up on the door for some festive Valentine decor!
