I remember so well those sleepless nights with a new baby. I can recall that foggy feeling so vividly… the one where you are counting down the hours until you can close your eyelids, realizing you’ve still got at least six.
It’s overwhelming and never ending.
I adored so much those late night feedings but was so desperate to be able to get at least a few consecutive hours of sleep each night.
I was willing to try anything, do anything, buy anything.
And I did… all sorts of little gadgets and sound machines and rockers all to help my little one sleep. There is no telling how much I spent in total. (affiliate link included)
What finally worked? A sleep course that showed me exactly what to do, when to do it and how to do it. I lived and breathed it, putting everything they said in place and guess what? Five years later that baby still sleeps like a champ. Like a complete and total CHAMP.
The thing is, that course is no longer available, but there’s a new one. A better one. One that is guaranteed to get your baby to sleep or you’ll get every penny you spent back. And even better than that? The cost is only $49 anyway. Yeah, way less than all the money I spent on sleep gadgets.
It’s called Coos to Snooze and is written by someone I personally know (and personally trust) because this chick (her name is Rachel, by the way) has five kids under six and they all sleep! That’s called a hero in my book.
After you finish Coos to Snooze your baby will go to sleep by themselves, stay asleep, nap more and generally be less fussy because they are finally not over-tired.
And it has lifetime access! Which means you can use it for this baby and the one after that. Heck, who knows how many times you’ll need to refresh your memory.
One mom said,
“Your course is AWESOME! I keep having aha!! moments. Following your advice, I have managed to get Mason to sleep in his crib both last night and for his first nap today! Thank you.”
If you want to dip your toe in, unsure if you really need a sleep course (I’m going to bet you do, because in my opinion, we all do) you can sign up for the free video series showing you the three biggest sleep struggles and how to fix them.
No matter what you do, I hope you, your baby and your whole family can get a good night sleep tonight and every night.
Liz is a just a mom trying to keep it real about how little she sleeps, how often she gets puked on and how much she loves them. You can find her here every day writing about real-mom moments.

Sleep training works and what is more it make parents and a baby much more happy! I always thought that sleep training is a long process and apparently I was wrong. When my baby girl was 4 months old I tried the Hold With Love method by Susan Urban from her HOW TO TEACH A BABY TO FALL ASLEEP ALONE guide ( http://www.parental-love.com ). My daughter has always been a pretty terrible sleeper so I thought it is going to be a long trip to get her to sleep properly but after a few days we made it ( ONLY A FEW DAYS!!!!!!!). After the HWL method she falls asleep on her own without rocking and her naps looks much better. We are eliminating night feedings now with the HWL and it looks promising.
I am glad I decided to change my daughter’s sleeping habits and we are all much more happy now.

I am glad I found this blog( like it a lot ) and I am glad I saw Sheryl saying about “How to teach a baby to fall asleep alone guide”! It has worked for my son who has just turned 8 months! Great step by step instructions and short read! To sum up – wonderful! I am so happy now 🙂
I am going to follow this blog 🙂

Sleep training with this guide made such a difference for me and my babies! Thanks for sharing

I was sceptic about sleep training cause all I knew was this „cry it out”. But then I’ve found this guide and loved it! It really helped my and my babygirl manage our sleep hours.
Lessie says
That’s the truth – you do sleeptraining mosty for you, not for the baby 😀 I remember I was waking up at night surprised that I can go to sleep immediately. HWL method worked for us at month 6 and it was a great great change in our family life. Already recommended this to all of my mom-friends.

Cry It Out is the worst! I had this How to teach a baby to fall asleep alone guide and it was enough. No crying needed. Trust Susan, she knows what she’s writting!
Cathy says
We have 12 hours of sleep back with Susan’s method. I love that! And achived with no crying – perfect solution.

11 months? That a record! I was dreaming about sleep training during the pregnancy. Sleep is so important to me. I used Susan’s method too but as soon as recomended – 4 months. It went great so why wait longer.
Sally says
I waited some some. I wasn’t sure if it’s the right time. But when the rocking started to be unbearably long, I started the training. I don’t regret doing it later, but in fact it is so gentle I could have done it right away at 4mo!
Carla says
4 months is totally fine! I think it’s perfect timing for HWL method from Susan’s book. I don’t knwo how it would work with something else. But this one is so harmless we tried and succeed in just 3 nights!

I had this terrible conversation about it lately with my mother-in-law! She said I’m a bad mother sleep training and the never did that, just used her natural instincts. Why wouldn’t I use a little help from a professional, like Susan Urban?! The method I used was gentle (thank you Susan!), I did nothing wrong and now – after just few days – I am better rested and I can take better care of my child. Isn’t it like that?
Matilda says
People that know better – I hate that! Did she even read the book? I know Susan’s method and I respect it a lot. I also believe that mother knows best – if you felt like sleep training, it was the right time. No discussion here. Especially with method that gentle!
Cobbie says
It’s like Susan’s book – showing you step by step what to do. Nothing can go wrong I think. Worked for me perfectly! And whatever works – the best thing is to feel rested again!

As a mom to be I’m a little bit calmer now. this article and recommendations of the Hold With Love method from parental-love are giving me a hope that I will have some sleep during nights 😀

Thank you Sheryl for sharing the link! I bought this ebook and my life has changed. It is a pity that so few parents undertake to teach their children to sleep. Everyone thinks it has to be like this, that it’s natural and those first years are so difficult for them. It turns out that it doesn’t have to be this way. I am the best proof of this. Thank you again

The method from this guide has worked for us as well! Woo Hoo 🙂 thanks girls
