Today I start my new job. Today I leave my child for eight whole hours and let someone else feed him, play with him and put him down for a nap. I can’t believe this is happening, really. I’m trying to be positive and I feel like maybe it will help to remind myself of them here.
-Money (duh, we all need it)
-Health insurance (paying everything out of pocket hasn’t been fun)
-Brady will get to stay at home most days under the care of his loving MeeMaw instead of going to daycare (that is really number one on the list)
-I’ll be working only about 10 minutes from home (hopefully I can smooch him on lunch breaks!)
-I got to be with him every day for 16 months
-Cute work outfits
See, it’s not so bad, right?
That didn’t make me feel better at all, actually. I’m going to miss my little boy like crazy. Wish me luck today? It’s like the first day of high school all over.

Good luck Liz! I went back to work when the twins were 7 weeks but only part time. I couldn’t imagine being gone for 5 days week. You are a very strong mommy! 🙂
