This time of year sneaks up on my every time. It’s almost back to school season and we’re gearing up for another super busy year. I love finding little hacks here and there that make our busy life just a bit easier.
I have been loving the Snyder’s-Lance variety packs and have come up with some really awesome chip hacks for back to school snacking! We tried the premium variety bag recently and the Nacho Chipotle chips are incredible! They have ton of varieties to choose from including some gluten free options and non-GMO.
Here are my favorite chip hacks!
Portion control with single serve bags
I’ll admit, if I’ve got a huge bag of chips in front of me, I’m going to eat too much. Keeping a bag of Snyder’s-Lance variety packs in the house makes sure when the kids grab a bag of chips it is the right amount.
These are perfect to keep around the house for after school snacking, picnics, my sons baseball games and snacking in the car.
Keep them in a drawer they can reach
For quick snacking that the kids can get themselves, keep your bags in a drawer. I love the snack drawer idea and I only fill it with things they can have on their own (ie no candy and sugary treats).
Cut the front of the bag to make a bowl
Make sure your kiddos aren’t tipping their bags over by cutting a whole in the front of the bag. It lays flat and makes a perfect miniature bowl they can dig into while they sit on the couch and relax after school.
Fold the bottom to make the bag stand up
I love this snack hack! Fold the bottom of your chip bags in and the bag stands up! Before opening, tip the bag upside down and carefully (so you don’t break all your chips) fold each corner in. This sits perfectly on the table while they do their homework!
