We have been battling The Plague at our house these last few months. More specifically, the last two weeks have been torture. Vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, strep throat, oh and throw in a sprained ankle for good measure. Spring needs to get here and with it bring some healthy, fresh, clean air. I just can’t handle another sickness in the house.
I am so excited for a night away from the chaos to spend some calm time with my husband this weekend. The kids are heading to their grandparents and Guy and I are getting away to a hotel. I need a moment to catch my breath. Life has been full of crazy lately and I just need.a.minute. Thank you, husband, for planning a relaxing night away for me.
In the midst of Brady throwing up all down my back two weeks ago, Paityn thought, hey guys, I think I’ll crawl now. It’s an army crawl of sorts, she just slaps the floor in front of her and yanks the rest of her body forward, but its movement and that’s awesome. Hopefully the full hands and knees crawl is around the corner. My little preemie babies do things a little bit slower than the rest, and we’re cool with that.
After trying to potty train here and there and not getting much result, Brady all the sudden decided he had no interest in the diaper anymore. Just doesn’t want to wear it. So we are full on potty training now and he’s rocking it. Telling us when he has to go and having almost no accidents except for numero dos. Today in true mom fashion I got a text from my sister-in-law apologizing for such a graphic photo but LOOK! POOP! IN THE POTTY! Only a mother understands how happy a picture of crap can be.
I’m in the midst of switching this little piece of the Internet from Blogger to WordPress. The learning curve is huge for me, but I’m slowly getting everything moved over. I really hope to be ready to launch the new fabulous site next week.
I’m currently loving this site called InboxDollars. Have you heard of it? I read about it from a mom-blogger as one way she makes extra money for her household and although its not going to replace your 9-5, you can make a few bucks here or there by doing the SIMPLEST stuff, like reading an email or watching a 10 second video. Seriously. And you get a $5 bonus for signing up. And, if you do, you’d be awesome if you use my affiliate link!
I really want to go to BlogHer this summer in Chicago. Are you going? Have you been? Should I go?
Liz is a just a mom trying to keep it real about how little she sleeps, how often she gets puked on and how much she loves them. You can find her here every day writing about real-mom moments.

I could relate to the difficulties of motherhood, and I appreciated the author’s openness and honesty.
