This year, I’m finding my son’s age of 9 as challenging to shop for. The older he gets, the less toys he wants. He also loves do to things that let him run, jump and play.
I found several gift ideas after a lot of searching, and wanted to share them with you!

Kids’ versions of fitness watches are a great idea to motivate kids to move more. I wonder how easy they are to use and whether they really help form healthy habits. I recently looked at reviews of different models and came across Fitbit, user opinions can be found at https://fitbit.pissedconsumer.com/customer-service.html. It is important that such devices are not only functional but also durable.

They’re too old for baby toys but not quite ready for teenager stuff. The obstacle course kit is genius—boys that age have endless energy and zero attention span, so something that lets them climb and swing is perfect. The star projector is a nice counterbalance too, gives them something calming at the end of the day. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is basically a no-brainer. That game never gets old. Whole family can play, no one feels left out. If you’re looking for something that keeps them engaged on screens but actually adds value, there are some solid options out there. Good kids bible games can be just as fun as regular video games but with stories that actually stick with them. King David’s Battles or Heroes of Rhym—action RPGs and tower defense stuff that feels like real gaming, not Sunday school homework.
