These are the tips I used to grow my blog traffic and increase my income all the way to $10,000 a month.
I have been so inspired to help new bloggers grow their traffic. If I can do it, so can you and I want to show you how. I have learned so much over my 10 years of blogging, and so today I want to share with you my top tips. (I have a ton more over here.)

1. Write post titles people can’t help but click on.
When I first started this blog years ago my titles were terrible. They had no real rhyme or reason and it hurt me. A title is as important as the post itself. Sure, if the post isn’t any good, the title won’t matter, but the opposite is true, too!
You have to grab someones attention so much that they take the time to stop scrolling through Facebook or Pinterest or wherever you are sharing your awesome blog. That takes a lot!
Take a minute to completely remove yourself from being the author of the article. Forget every word that is inside of it. Pretend you are a reader and you’re scrolling so fast your thumb hurts, what would make you stop? What would make you think, “I need to know that!”
A good example I have is an article I wrote called How To Get Your Baby Sleeping. It’s a pretty good headline, but it wasn’t doing a whole lot for me on Facebook. I played around with the title, changed it to “My baby wouldn’t sleep until I did this…” and it finally picked up the pace.
Keep changing and playing with the wording until you find what works.

2. Pin a lot.
I talk about this more in depth on my site for bloggers, but pinning A LOT is vital to your business. It will help you grow your followers and it will help you increase your traffic.
You can do this organically, on your own, or you can use BoardBooster to do all the work for you. It’s a seriously awesome service that pins all day and night, hundreds of times, without you doing anything.
Plus, you can make sure that YOUR blog posts are getting pinned to the right places consistently. This has given me such piece of mind to know that my content is being pinned even while I’m sleeping!
3. Make friends with other bloggers.
It is so hard to grow all of this on your own. Having a group of other bloggers that are excited to partner with you and work together is crucial. You need to find people in your niche that will agree to trade pinning each others articles on Pinterest and sharing them on FB. You also need to reach out to your most favorite bloggers in your niche and ask them for work. Offering to work for other, larger, bloggers in exchange for no pay, just shares and pins is very helpful. Not only can you reach their audience, they always have fantastic advice and leadership. You can learn so much by “interning” for a bigger blogger!
Send them a sincere email telling them a you are a long time reader, how you look up to them, and that you would love to learn from them by helping out.

4. Start a newsletter from day one.
When I started blogging newsletters weren’t a thing yet. As they slowly started becoming more important and popular I hesitated. For a long time. I didn’t get a newsletter started until about two years ago which was completely absurd. (I kicked myself for not doing it sooner.)
You need this to grab people and get them to become a part of your community. It’s important to engage with them in a weekly newsletter and send them to your new posts. We get overwhelmed with the amount of things we see on social media and a newsletter is a fantastic way to get DIRECTLY in front of your reader.
