How we spend our days

3:20 am

Brady wakes up, cries, and instead of spending time getting him back to sleep I just cart him into our room and we snuggle.
7:45 am
Up for the day.  I change his diaper and make some breakfast.

8:00 am
He doesn’t want the oatmeal.  The past few days he’s just wanted milk instead and then will eat later.  Milk it is.

holy bed-head, batman

While he drinks I do the dishes and clean up the kitchen.  I’m not usually this productive first thing but I’m expecting a visit from my mom bright and early so I need to pick up.  (She ended up not coming until the next day.)

8:28 am
A little play time.

8:37 am
Time for me to grab a bite to eat and get my coffee.

I break Brady’s cardinal rule: DON’T LEAVE ME ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE GATE.

8:39
I eat and he steals a bite here and there while PBS kids plays in the background.
8:44 am
He starts work on a present just for me.

yes, i just posted a picture of my son’s poop face

8:57 am

Diaper change.

9:04 am
Laundry.  Do you know how hard it is to complete this task with such a good “helper” around?

9:08 am
I take a video of him saying “thank you!” (you can watch it here)
9:21 am
I attempted to give him the oatmeal one last time but he refuses so he has a peanut-butter banana muffin.
9:26 am
Fold more of yesterday’s laundry (I loathe folding) this load is baby clothes.
9:50 am
I clean up the muffin mess and get B dressed for the day.
10:00 am
Shower.

10:29 am
Baby snack: yogurt, blueberries and water.

10:47 am
Diaper change.
11:04 am
Should have waited a few more minutes, he makes another poo dipe for me.
11:14 am
Dad gets home for lunch.  I go to trade out cars at the dealership – we’ve been test driving a few.
12:01 pm
Husband and I eat a Sonic lunch and Brady decides to eat bread and goldfish.

This is what the floors looks like after…

12:35 pm
Afternoon bottle.

…and we get some snuggle time.

12:45 pm

Nap time.

12:47 pm
I get my computer time.

3:00 pm
He’s up!
3:03 pm
I change his diaper again, and change him and I into our swimming suits.
3:20 pm
We arrive at the splash pad and get our swim on.

We’re home from the pool and dad is home from work.  (Yes, he’s icing his shins with frozen corn.)

4:50 pm
A snack of applesauce
More play time.
5:40 pm
Yet another present for me, what a generous boy he is today.  He needs clean clothes so I just go ahead and put on his pjs.

5:55 pm
He has dinner – carrots and green beans.

6:27 pm
Some milk
6:52 pm
Another poo dipe.  Somethings not quite right.
7:30 pm
The three of us play in his room and read books.

I put the camera away.  More play time.
9:05 pm
Grandma stops by for about an hour so the nighttime bottle is delayed just a bit.
10:15 pm
Nighttime bottle (that includes a big dose of rice cereal).
10:45 pm
Asleep.
11:01 pm
Awake and crying.  What the heck?
11:25 pm
Awake and crying yet again.  Good grief…
11:31 pm
He is back asleep and down for the night.  Time for me to crash.
