Love and Marriage

And A Baby Carriage.

My wedding album

Uncategorized

I cannot tell you how long I have been thinking about writing a post about my wedding album, but if you do the math and realize I’ve been married for just about a year now you will realize it’s been a while.

I had to take a leap of faith in My Publisher, and it would have been nice to have some real examples to see first.  So in case you are considering them, here are my thoughts.

I ordered the Deluxe Hardcover Photobook with custom jacket.  Here is the front:

And here is the inside flap of the jacket:

The edge:

I would have preferred a book with much thicker pages, resulting in a fatter book. This one is relatively thin.  Also, if you aren’t careful, the pages will wrinkle quickly.

Here is an example of one of the pages. I chose to have this photo take an entire page but you can choose from many different templates to arrange your photos.  That is one of my most favorite things about My Publisher; the ability to be able to design each detail to your specifications.

Save

I wish I could tell you all what I paid for this, but I can’t remember. I do know that there was a coupon code that I used, and it looks like they have one on their website right now.

I don’t personally know anyone that has printed a photo book and I think it is the best idea for your wedding pictures.  I couldn’t imagine them either being stuffed into plastic sleeves or sitting on a disk for years.

I used Shutterfly to create a photobook recently for the first time. I loved it! It’s different from regular scrapbooking, but I still got to be creative. It was fun and my husband loved his photobook. 🙂

I made a photobook of our engagement photos through blurb and it came out fantastic. It ended up being our guest book at the wedding. Does plublisher allow you to do a hard cover image wrap? I always find that the dust jacket gets all damaged so easily…

I made a similar book on Shutterfly and was disappointed in how thin it was as well. The spine on ours has already broken, so I’m going to look for another option since it was relatively cheap.
