Love and Marriage

And A Baby Carriage.

Photographing Brady’s birth

birth

I knew long before I was pregnant that I wanted a photographer present when baby is born.  Once I got to the second trimester I started searching around, knowing that some photographers may already be booked in July since it is wedding season.  I found out my wedding photographer didn’t shoot births and then I quickly started to panic thinking I wouldn’t find anyone.  I sent a tweet out and got several responses back quickly (love twitter!)  No one specifically pointed me towards the one I chose, but lead me to her through searches for the others.

I’m so super excited that Sarah Maxey Photography is going to be at the hospital with me to take photos of Brady’s first breath.  A moment that I know could not possibly be documented as well by a family member or friend.  Sarah will be available for me to call panting and screaming on the way to the hospital and will show up to document the whole thing.  As if that isn’t great enough, she is also coming to the house to take newborn photos once we get him home and settled.

I wish I could show off her work here but her website doesn’t allow stealing – go figure!  So I’ll trust you guys will go take a look for yourself and see her great work.  I will definitely be showing my own photos off here sometime in July!

A fellow coworker is fortunate enough to have a stepfather with an eye for photographer – and he was present for his son’s birth. I never thought about how amazing it would be to have someone there to capture the look on everyone’s face when they meet their son/daughter, grandchild, brother/sister, etc. The photos of the grandmothers were probably the best – seeing their first grandson for the first time = priceless.

Congrats on finding such an amazing photographer! I look forward to seeing the pictures!
