If you have a little one at home and don’t have a dog, I strongly urge you to get one. Not because puppies are totally adorable and kids with pets have less anxiety, but for all the added benefits they bring to your world as a mother. Being a mom is hard and if you need a helper around the house then you need to hire a dog.
5 Reasons Every Mom Should Get A Dog
They will wake the baby up for you. You don’t have to calculate the hours since they last ate and then patiently decide if you should wake them up for another feeding. You don’t have to agonize over that decision any longer because the dog will do that for you. He will see a friendly jogger, hear a car door shut, or maybe even just a strong wind gust and begin to bark incessantly until the baby cries.
You need more poop to clean up. One or two (or three, or four….) diapered children aren’t enough for you. An extra mess on the floor every once in a while keeps you on your toes. Plus, stepping into a puddle of pee in the middle of the night while you are trying to fumble in the kitchen to make a bottle doesn’t make your blood boil. You were born for this.
You’re not all that busy. The kids aren’t keeping you that occupied anyway, and you really need something else to do with all your extensive free time. Walking a dog, bathing it, feeding it, playing fetch, stopping it from chewing everything, taking it to the Vet, are all things you think you can easily fit in your schedule.
They will lick the kids hands clean. Are your kids hands covered in Cheetos cheese? You do not need a wet towel to get it off! The dog will sit willingly and lick off every last bit of cheese residue. Sure it’s gross and probably unsanitary but having your own personal hand washer is pretty awesome.
And they clean up the food they drop on the floor. OK so I’m totally serious about this one. One of the best things about having a dog around is the fact that they will snag every fallen Cheerio and eat all the dinner mess that was thrown on the ground. You’ll never have to sweep it up again.
See? I told you every mom needs a dog.

hahahaha. I’m sharing this puppy. 😉
Thank you for sharing your thought. Having a dog at home can help parents who don’t get enough time to impart value education to their kids. They can play and teach several lessons to our kids.
Yeah true. Thats why i get my wife a cute doggo.
My wife persuaded me to take a puppy for a long time. I was against it, but in the end I gave up and we took a puppy-girl. We called her Jesse, very much like a border collie.
