This is a sweet idea that I remember from when I was little. We would tie a ribbon that was our height in a bow and put it in a baggie or a box with a little note.
I thought it would be fun to make this into a holiday craft for kids. It would be great to do this in class!
The free printable is custom for 2017. I love how the whole thing rhymes so well with the year – ha!
It comes with a red and green option.
(I know I got a little ahead of myself and put 2018 like the sleep deprived mom that I am, but I fixed the printable to show 2017. Because it’s 2017 right now. Duh.)
Just print, cut and punch a whole at the top. Then, let the kids sign the bottom. Measure a string or ribbon to their height and tie it at the top. Isn’t it sweet?
I also have a bunch of awesome Elf On The Shelf printables! You can check them out here. I love the naughty notice to help kids with bad behavior. And there is a note for being good as well!
Liz is a just a mom trying to keep it real about how little she sleeps, how often she gets puked on and how much she loves them. You can find her here every day writing about real-mom moments.
