So yesterday I brainstormed. What can I do? How can I do it? With all of the balls in the air at any given time I think part of what will help with learning to manage my life is scheduling. Scheduling all aspects of my life. On one hand it seems incredibly intimidating and on the other hand it feels like it could be really great. Each day has a plan. Each day there is organization and a little less chaos.
My brainstorm included this:
-A cleaning schedule
-a day to clean the whole house top to bottom for a jump start on the schedule, or hire a one-time maid
-then each day has its own tasks
-An organizing schedule
-this week we tackle the hall closet, next week the bedroom closet, etc.
-A menu plan
-try to incorporate as many easy slow cooker recipes as possible
-A couponing and shopping schedule
-eliminating random oh-crap-we’re-out-of-butter moments throughout the week
-A specific area (command center) to hold all of the lists/schedules for everyone to see
-Specific times set out for just Brady and I
-this area has me upset constantly, as I feel like most of my time is dedicated to the baby and he doesn’t get enough good quality time with me
-Specific date nights/date days for Guy and I
-we can schedule ahead of time and plan for a sitter to be able to go out for an evening or even just have an afternoon to grab lunch. Something planned so our relationship gets attention as well.
Phew. That’s a lot. And the point is not to make myself feel even more overwhelmed than I already do, but I have to start somewhere. Hopefully at the end of this 31 days I will have completed all of the above and be feeling so much better about my time management.
I’d love any and all comments/suggestions/links to things I can do to assist in this process. And feel free to tag along and learn to manage with me. 🙂
