Brady,
The first month of you being alive has completely changed our reality. Our whole world is different because of you. I have spent most of these last four weeks holding you – I would guess sometimes close to 15 hours of the day perhaps. There are few places you like to be besides someones arms; your travel swing, bouncy seat and propped inside your boppy pillow. None of those places though can contain you for longer than 20 minutes while you are awake.
You are exclusively breastfed which is a task that I would compare to having a full time job. It takes up the majority of my time and can be quite stressful. I openly admit that I don’t always enjoy it, but I know it is what is best for you, and as always that is what is most important. Giving up isn’t an option for me, and I keep trucking through, learning a little more every day.
There are so many milestones that I am looking forward to in your future and I’m realizing very quickly how fast you grow. This month has flown by and I know that is going to be an on going theme of your life. I’m going to turn around any minute now and you’ll be moving out on your own. You’ve already changed so much since your first day in this world, and I’ll be saying the same thing next month and the next month and the next month. You grow a little every day and I am just trying my best to take in every minute I can with you and take a lot of pictures. I’m already keenly aware of the fact that you won’t be my little baby forever.
I love you always. Until next month,
-Mama

Great post! Keep up with the breastfeeding – my midwife keeps telling me to remember that most breastfeeding issues are resolved within the first 6-8 weeks … I am sure it seems like such a hard job right now, but it will be worth it!
