So remember when I went to DC last month? The trip can be summed up pretty quickly: I landed, I sat in my room, I attended meetings and I left. Did I have any fun? No, of course I didn’t. As you may recall from my earlier rant the hotel was awful, I was stranded, and I was all by myself. So what does one do to pass time when they are completely alone? They do lots of
meaningless internet browsing and take pictures of themselves.
Here is my DC documentation, told in photos of me…
Me on the free bus transportation since I wasn’t given a rental car. This is how I look when I get off a plane, apparently.
Drinking my morning coffee.
Watching TV on the laptop since I didn’t have cable. Seriously, I didn’t have cable.
I did a crossword puzzle.
I ate room service.
I was homesick.
I took a VERY early morning flight.

Dude. I can’t believe your room didn’t even have cable. And that you didn’t get a rental car. At least you didn’t have to worry about driving though. Driving would have scared the crap out of me. Haha!

From one “Elizabeth” to another… your blog cracks me up. You tell it like it is, no beating around the bush!
That said, I can’t believe you didn’t take advantage of all DC has to offer! It’s one of my favorite American cities (I lived there for a short time during my last semester of grad school) and it is *so* tourist friendly. I hope you get a chance to return and do some sight-seeing (or at least some good shopping!!!).
