Hey everyone, it’s Courtney with Crafts by Courtney and I’m so excited about my craft today. I recently went to the Dollar Tree and found all these great vases. I thought a DIY Vase craft would be a perfect project to share today!
I LOVE the selection of glass vases at the Dollar Tree, I grabbed a couple and knew I wanted to give them a makeover for a Spring party table.
I love having parties, but I hate spending a TON on the decor. I thought giving these vases a makeover would be fun and keep me on budget.
For this craft, here’s what you’re going to need:
Supplies
- Glass vase
- Hot glue and gun
- Decorative rope
- Scissors
Getting Started
I recently went to Michaels and got this beautiful rope, I haven’t’ known what I was going to do with it until now…
I couldn’t wait to start!!
Step 1 – Glue Rope to Vase
I added hot glue to the bottom of the vase and wrapped the rope around. I made sure to hot glue the entire bottom of the vase.
Step 2 – Wrap Rope Around Vase
Then, I started wrapping my rope around. I went halfway up the vase, then cut off any excess.
Step 3 – Glue Rope to Vase
Finally, I hot glued into place. See this is a super easy project!
Step 4 – Finishing Touches
Now I was ready to start adding my party supplies and decor!
I also added a fun starfish broach to the front of one of the vases. I found it at a local store for only $1.00!
These are perfect to add cute paper straws, flowers…or anything you want!
I really, really LOVE how these turned out. After the party I can use them in the craft room to store some of my craft supplies.
