I’ll be the first to admit, those first few weeks and months with a newborn baby are equally incredible and totally terrifying. You’re overwhelmed with love in ways you hadn’t ever experienced before – ways you didn’t know existed – and you’re also going through some very strange body changes.

That coupled with little to no sleep and a crying baby you aren’t quite sure even likes you that much, makes this time so… complicated.

The super funny ladies from The Break Womb have a hilarious rap video that perfectly describes what it’s like: “Your brain goes insane and your hair falls out, in big alarming clumps that’s what I’m talking about.”

Those ladies never dissapoint! I could watch their YouTube channel all day long.

A year ago I opened up about the things I wish my husband had known when we brought home our first baby. These are things I wish I truly grasped as well.
