Yesterday I got a package in the mail with many goodies from a friend of my mom’s. One special thing that I enjoyed was an article she shared with me about parenting that she had held onto and tried to live by. I loved what it said and am going to save it and pass it on as well.
If we come across things in our lives that help us we should share. So that is what I am starting here. I love reading and searching for information so I am going to begin to share, once a week, the articles that I find that you all may enjoy and pass on to your friends and families. They will be in the realm of newlyweds, housekeeping, marriage and even though I don’t have kids yet, I will include that category also because I do like to be prepared. Hope you all enjoy and feel free to leave comments with links to articles you think I might enjoy.
“If you have several loads of laundry to do, tackle as many as you can in one day; your dryer uses less energy when it runs consecutive loads. Same goes for ironing: Better to iron a week’s worth of shirts in one go.” |
“I have a friend who, before her wedding, asked to see pictures of my ceremony so that she could discuss dress and flower ideas with me. At her wedding, my jaw was on the floor. She actually copied my wedding dress and bouquet!” |
“As the topic of matrimonial success and divorce is studied more and more, research is showing that how a couple weathers their first two years together can make or break their marriage.” |

I love this idea. I keep a binder of articles, tips, recipes, you-name-it-its-in-there. This will be a nice complement.
Husby and I are rounding year two now and still going strong!
