Gift-giving for the mama on bed rest

Restaurant gift cards – The five meals that I rotate for every lunch and dinner get old.  So old.  But who can afford to drain their bank accounts on fast food and ordering in when they are spending ungodly amounts of money on hospital bills.  With some gift cards family members can pick up your favorite meals.  Or?  You can let them know on x date you’re going to be stopping by with dinner from their favorite restaurant. Its so fun to have something to look forward to!

Homemade food – I’m telling you, the hospital food blows.  Homemade food is so much better.  Make a little extra of whatever you’re having that night and bring it by – there are microwaves for them to use to reheat.

Mobile mani/pedi – So many people around here have mentioed there should really be a nail person that comes around to give mani/pedis.  Honestly, if someone did this they would make a killing – business idea, people!  Call around and find someone who does this and order it for them.  They will be thrilled.

Gifts for the baby – What keeps me going is remembering why I’m here in the first place which is the little baby in my belly.  I love ordering things for her and looking at them and touching them.  It’s fun to picture them wearing little outfits and of course, most of us need all the baby stuff we can get!

Pretty nightgowns and socks – Another thing to make you feel frilly and girly.  And everyone loves new, fresh pjs.

Don’t forget about the husband!  The poor guy has been thrown into single-parenting life and could use help, too.  Meals, help around the house, company – let’s not forget he’s going through all of this, too.
