One of the things that made me the most happy about loosing my job is the opportunity to be home with my kids through the holidays. For me, life working outside the home is just too chaotic to do much of anything. I am excited to spend our days this month preparing for Christmas! We will be taking our days slow, not having to bundle ourselves in the freezing weather each morning, and doing every Christmas project/activity/craft we can come up with. These are just things I can’t quite squeeze into the short evenings and weekends as a working mama. So many of you rock the working mom thing and I envy you.
Yesterday started as a pretty horrendous day. Paityn refused to take a nap and Brady decided to take every bad thing he could do and just cross them off the list back to back. We loaded up and went to the store just to get the heck out of the house and hope that maybe a change of scenery would help. It did, and we picked up a toy for the little boy we chose from the Angel Tree. Brady, despite of his earlier attitude, was an absolute darling choosing a toy for who he called Nardo.
Santa left a box on our doorstep on Saturday with a new Christmas tradition.
Brady named him Joseph which he pronounces as Jo-fist and continually calls him his Jesus doll. He’s catching on. We’ve moved him around each morning but aren’t doing anything elaborate with the little guy.
I am so excited for the month of December and spending every day with my babies.
Liz is a just a mom trying to keep it real about how little she sleeps, how often she gets puked on and how much she loves them. You can find her here every day writing about real-mom moments.
