When Your Kid Hates Wearing Socks

My daughter is really bothered by how certain articles of clothing feel. Most mornings we change outfits multiple times, trying and re-trying on things.

It isn’t just one thing, it’s underwear, it’s pants, shorts, shirts, jackets, you name it.

But the one thing that has bothered her the most and the longest is socks.

When Your Kid Hates Wearing Socks

One day another mom at school overheard us talking about socks and couldn’t help but offer us her suggestion. (This is exactly the unsolicited advice moms are looking for, by the way! Problem/Valid solution.)

That mom told us to try some seamless socks she found online. Socks without the seams in the front. I wasn’t sure that the seam itself was the issue at hand but figured I’d look into it.

And here’s time for honesty: I forgot about it. Until last week.

My little girl said, as she was putting on her socks, “Mom do they make socks without these lines in them??”

It was the seams. Of course it was the seams.

So I went to search for the aforementioned sock brand and turns out, they weren’t actually a good choice. BUT, I found something even better!

SmartKnitKIDS Seamless Sensitivity Socks

They are genius!! From their website it says: Completely free of seams, our patented product is knit like a cocoon, starting from the toe up, providing comfort and relief to those who struggle with “bumps & lumps” in their socks. No more turning socks inside-out just to tolerate. Super soft, form-fitting and moisture wicking.

It is almost impossible to be annoyed by these socks.

You guys… they are life savers. They make mornings (and anytime you need your picky kid to put socks on) so much easier.

If you have a little one like mine, you’ve got to go check these out. If you do, let me know if you love them!
