Laugh and Learn About Childbirth (Giveaway!!)

Friday I checked the mail and had a new book on childbirth to read. My favorite! Of course being pregnant, my new obsession in life is all things baby, and more specifically childbirth. I’m going to spend some time another day discussing my childbirth views, but generally speaking they are of the all natural kind. Without doing much research behind the author and her views I dove in and hoped the information was the kind I was looking for.
After the very first paragraph I said to Guy, “I can already tell this is my kind of book.” I knew I was going to gain a lot from this as soon as she said, “…the medical establishment that has promoted a fear-based approach to childbirth, which has transformed a natural and beautiful process into a medical procedure.”
The book is Laugh and Learn About Childbirth by Sheri Bayles, RN, BSN.
Sheri empowers you to learn and to take charge, two things that I consider the absolute most important decisions to make while pregnant. She does this by giving you the information from the beginning of labor through post-partum so you are knowledgeable. Oh, and more importantly not completely confused by medical lingo!
Something that you will not feel from Sheri though, is judgement. What I have seemed to find so far in most childbirth opinions, is that they are certain there is one road to get to the end, and its the road they have paved. With this book it simply explains to you what each exit brings and then you may choose the ones you wish to travel.
I urge all pregnant women to read through this book and then keep it around for referencing again certain topics. I sat down to start the book and the next thing I knew I was on the last page, so don’t worry about starting another childbirth book that is packed with technical information you aren’t interested in.
If you are really lucky, you could get one here for FREE! Laugh and Learn is graciously giving a copy away to someone here. If you are preggers, TTC, or have friends that are pregnant then enter here!
The scoop:
1. Before entering, please go to Sheri’s website and take a look around, then come back here to leave a comment.

3. For a third entry, become a fan of Laugh and Learn on Facebook.
4. For a fourth entry, become a follower of Love and Marriage (existing followers count!)

I love that the book gives tips for my husband, too (at least that’s what the review says). He’s always looking for more ways to be involved.

This sounds great. I work with lots of pregnant moms (and I’m hoping to be one myself sometime soon), so I’d love to have this book to share with people.
