Sticky Note Pom Pom Maze Game

kid activities

I’m sure most of you all know that I also write over at Kids Activities Blog and have absolutely loved working with the amazing ladies over there.  They are seriously brilliant and come up with some of the most fun activities for kids.  As packed with fun as their website is, they came up with another 101 activities and wrote a book!

101 Kids Activities That Are The Bestest, Funnest Ever!

One of my favorite is the Sticky Note Pom Pom Maze (on page 37).  Brady is crazy about mazes right now and I’ve bought him several new activity books lately.  This is the kind of thing I love about Kids Activities Blog, they take three things that I’ve already got in my house and turns them into fun.  I would have never thought to build a maze game with sticky notes!

Once you build a maze with your paper, give your kids a straw and a pom pom and let them blow the pom pom through.  Careful not to touch the paper!  After we played with the maze, Brady and I ended up having pom pom races.  A one minute set-up with everyday items turned into half an hour of play.

This project transforms sticky notes into a maze that can be designed and constructed by a kid.  The fun thing is that even though they designed the maze, it will still be a challenge to maneuver a pom-pom through it with a straw and some air power.

Oh!  And what’s more?  My name is in the book!  My heart skipped a beat when I saw my name in print on a page of a published book.

There is so much fun waiting inside this book.  I think it’s the perfect thing to have around the house and to send along with the kids when they stay the night with a relative or have waiting when a babysitter comes over.  Go check it out!
