A Milk Protein Allergy Friendly Milkshake

easy food

Shortly after my son was born back in 2010, I found out that he had an allergy to a certain milk protein. It was something I had never heard of before and almost no one I knew had any knowledge of it either. We had all heard of lactose intolerance, but this was totally different.

There was a protein in the milk that his stomach couldn’t handle. It opened up a whole slew of articles and information to me that I had never been aware of before. I couldn’t believe this wasn’t common knowledge – that there are proteins in milk that are difficult for us to digest. In fact, there are so many people walking around thinking they are lactose intolerant, when really, it’s not that at all.

Fortunately, there is a new milk that is safe for many of those people. How awesome? a2 Milk® selects cows that only produce the A2 protein (the one that is easily digestible) and eliminates the milk from cows that also produce A1 (the protein people can have a hard time digesting).

Save
I know many people that feel they are allergic to milk can never enjoy the deliciousness of a milkshake. I think that’s so sad! So I wanted to show you how to use this awesome new milk to make a vanilla shake without ice cream. The recipe is really easy and just takes a few simple ingredients: ice, sugar, vanilla and a2 Milk®.

Save
In your blender, add one cup of ice, one cup of a2 Milk®, 1/3 cup of sugar and a splash of vanilla. Mix it together and voila! I almost prefer this to the traditional recipes. It is so good!

Check out a2 Milk® on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest. Go here to get a $1 coupon to try it out! There are also more recipes on their site.

Are you going to try a2 Milk®? Tell me in the comments for a chance to win a $100 Visa gift card!

This post resonates with me so much! I recently learned about the difference between A1 and A2 proteins, and it’s incredible how A2 milk can make such a positive impact for those with dairy sensitivities. It’s heartbreaking to think about all the people who’ve missed out on enjoying simple treats like milkshakes due to milk protein allergies. This easy milkshake recipe is a game-changer, especially since it doesn’t require ice cream. I’m definitely going to give it a try with A2 milk—it sounds delicious and refreshing! Thanks for sharing this, can’t wait to try it out!

Discovering that milk proteins, not just lactose, can cause digestive issues was eye-opening. Many people mistakenly assume they’re lactose intolerant, peter kraus vermögen highlighting how little general knowledge exists about digestion and how awareness can improve dietary choices.
