This mini unicorn soap is a fun craft for kids to help make with a grown-up. It can also become a really simple party favor for a birthday!
If you have a little girl like mine, you are probably drowning in all things unicorn, right? Haha I hear you. We’ve been living in a sea of unicorns for about 3 years now.
FYI, if you’re planning a unicorn party, you’ve got to make ‘Unicorn Bacon’. It’s so fun!
Mini Unicorn Soap
Have you ever made homemade soap before? When I first started I thought it must be tricky but it turns out that it’s one of the easiest DIY’s ever.
What you’ll need:
- 3 (about ⅕ pound) cubes Shea Butter Melt & Pour Soap Base
- 2 drops Peach soap coloring
- Unicorn candy/soap mold (found at Michael’s)
- Pyrex measuring cup
- Wooden stir stick
Directions:
- Melt the soap base in the microwave for 30 seconds. If not fully melted, heat in 10 second intervals until fully melted.
- Stir in soap colorant
- Pour into mold
- Let set for 1-2 hours, remove from mold.
I think keeping a few fun soaps around for little kids who aren’t big fan of bath time is genius. Let them pick which one they want for clean up time!
Then, if you want to use these as a party favor, just wrap each in a small piece of cellophane and a ribbon. Easy peasy and super inexpensive. Plus, it’s a party favor that is actually useful!
Enjoy your mini unicorn soap!

What soap base brand do you use. I bought “LIFE OF THE PARTY” Shea Butter Soap base and put a bit of purple and fragrance and after an hour still not hardened and won’t come out of the plastic square mold I tested it in. I’m trying to make unicorn ones but waiting for my mold to arrive tomorrow.
