Mom Suits – Bathing Suits for women that look great but covers all the places you want to hide.
Well, it’s that time again. The time where we must shove our bodies into a bathing suit on a regular basis… it’s Summer.
I love nothing more than hanging out at the pool with my kids every day but I’m not in favor of bathing suits. The thing is, I’m a mom and I’ve had two babies and I don’t exercise enough. That means I flat out cannot put on one of those flimsy two-piece bikinis as much as I’d like to.
However I do not – DO NOT – want one of those loose fitting skirt suits that my grandma used to wear. So I’m on a mission and I thought you may be too.
You also don’t want anything coming out while you’re trying to play with your kiddos at the pool!
Top 8 Mom Suits
Here are some awesome suits a mom might like that are anything but ugly. (affiliates included)
The Sidestroke from Summersalt
I bought this suit last summer and really love it. The one strap may not be everyones favorite, but it fits so firm and snug that you never feel uncomfortable.
It is called the “Unicorn of Swimsuits” by The Today Show because it is so flattering for such a wide variety of body types.
- Sizes 0-28 (even a long torso version for the tall ladies)
- 15 Color Patterns (I got Lava & Hibiscus & White Sand)
Women’s Chlorine Resistant Tummy Control Cap Sleeve One Piece Swimsuit from Lands End
Not only does this suit have cap sleeves and tummy control, it is also chlorine resistant and has UPF 50 sun protection. This suit comes in sizes ranging from 2- 18 with two different cup sizes.
Tempt Me Women One Piece Swimsuit High Neck Plunge Mesh Ruched Monokini from Amazon
People have referred to this as The Suit That Looks Good On Everyone and I don’t disagree. I bought this a few summers back and am still wearing it. It is really comfortable and comes in over 40 colors! I got black because I’m boring, but I really love the Yellow & Hibiscus and might add it to my collection this year.
Women’s Chlorine Resistant Zip Front Tankini Swimsuit from Lands End
Short Sleeve Multifit Front Zip One-Piece Swimsuit from Nordstrom
I love the crewneck, cap sleeve, zipper front suit. Several years back I grabbed something similar and fell in love with the style. Plus, I don’t have to worry about my shoulders burning in the sun which is a spot that always gets me.
The Deep End One-Piece – Nursing Friendly! from Albion Fit
Absolutely love the textured fabric of this Cobalt blue one-piece. It has removable pads and functional buttons which make it extra perfect for a nursing mama. Sizing ranges all the way from XXS-XXL and they have a really terrific Fit Guide to help you find just the right size.
Maldives High Neck Tankini from Athleta
A comfy tankini top designed great for water sports. It’s got an adjustable neck and back hook for a custom fit. Pair it with your favorite style of bottoms. My favorite is the High Waist Swim Bottom that covers the lower belly and the whole bum.
The Savannah One-Piece from Albion Fit
The thing I love most about this besides the fun cheetah print, is the extra wide straps. It has a ruched bodice, busty friendly and removable pads. Like other Albion Fit suits, the sizes ranges all the way from XXS-XXL.

Liz is a just a mom trying to keep it real about how little she sleeps, how often she gets puked on and how much she loves them. You can find her here every day writing about real-mom moments.
