Brady loves Ninjago. The cartoon is well, a bit annoying, but it’s no Thomas the Train so I’m ok with it. We’ve been locked in the house for a solid week now fighting Hand Foot Mouth Disease and I’ve been desperately trying to come up with things for us to do so we don’t go insane. I was putting away laundry and saw a Ninjago t-shirt and the lightbulb went off.
This cupcake liner craft is so incredibly easy and only takes four easy items that I guarantee are in your kitchen right now.
Ninjago Cupcake Liner Craft
So to make this craft you will need:
- Cupcake liners
- Glue (we used a glue stick but just use whatever you’ve got)
- Scissors
- Sharpie (a kids marker doesn’t work on cupcake liners – it will just smear)
The directions are simple: spread open a yellow cupcake liner and one other color of your choice. Cut an opening in your second color by folding it over slightly. Then, glue the yellow liner onto your paper and the alternate color on top. Draw on eyes and eyebrows with your sharpie. All done!
During our bout with HFMD we’ve also made a lot of play dough structures, painted, built an indoor obstacle course and played a lot of video games. If you’ve got other boredom busters for us I would love to hear them!
Liz is a just a mom trying to keep it real about how little she sleeps, how often she gets puked on and how much she loves them. You can find her here every day writing about real-mom moments.
