So. Sleep. I love sleep. If I had an hour of absolute free time a day to do with whatever I wanted, it would be take a nap. I crawl into the bed and cover myself with my soft, silky sheets and I am out. But then Sunday rolled around and my sleep schedule got flipped upside down. I am waking up several times a night and I believe that when I am sleeping, it’s not good sleep.
I don’t know what has happened but I am all of the sudden having extremely real, vivid dreams that are waking me up every night, several times a night. Occasionally they are of the nightmare variation but most of the time they are just your run of the mil weirdo dreams where you are performing your dance routine at a birthday party. Or, you know, you are having lunch with Beyonce.
According to Wikipedia, people dream about two hours each night almost every night. So why in the world are mine different from yours and keeping me awake?? Four days and counting of waking up over and over and over again and I am about to scream. I just want to STOP DREAMING. Or maybe have one, that would be nice.

know what you mean! it’s not every night for me, most recent being on Sunday night. You just get up more tired than you went to bed! UGH!
Hope you get to sleeping better!
My husband is the same. He ended up having to get some sleeping medication. After a week on that, he’s used to it I guess and is tossing and turning all night again!
Good Luck!!

oh if only I could sleep for long enough at a time to have a dream! I sleep like hell lately. Doesn’t help that Riley still doesn’t sleep through the night, and during the day if I try to nap with him all I can hear is the construction surrounding me…. ugh….

Did you know your dreams only last about 30 seconds each? Well, from what I remember from phyc in high school thats how long they were…? Or I could be wrong I got a D in that class. So maybe you should forget I even said that…
Maybe your pregnant? I have VERY vivid dreams when I was pregnant both times! Ones where I was flying, or on the beach with dancing fairys, and twinkle lights! Oh so pretty! I still remember them!

Don’t want to get you excited or anything but when I’m pregnant I dream crazy vivid dreams every single night. It’s definitely a hormonal thing. Maybe a baby?!? 🙂

I had a similar experience some time back. I thing is dont try to hard to sleep. It will make you more awake. Just like back try relaxing all the muscles. You might get the elusive sleep 🙂

I’ve had problems with vivid dreams for the last year and a half and I’m not pregnant nor have I been pregnant. I dunno what happened but at some I just started getting them…sometimes I’ll get a break for a couple of weeks and then they’ll start up again. I’ve grown so used to it now that the only ones that really bother me are the sad/horrible/creepy ones that leave me feeling depressed! They do leave you so worn out when you wake up that it feels like you were just hit by a truck!

Oh man, thats horrible! I had terrible sleep when I was pregnant. The only thing that helps me is to drink some tea (no caffeine) before bed. Also, in Psychology, we learned to keep your sleeping room ONLY for sleep..So no TV, music, working out, etc. in that room. It prepares your brain for sleep if the room is only associated with sleep.
