If my husband wouldn’t have pushed the name Paityn so much, I honestly would have never considered it last pregnancy. As in, it would not have even made my very long notebook list that I was constantly adding to (see below). I came up with quite a variety, trying really hard to think outside the box and give this baby something especially unique. I did not want one that was topping the list this year’s most popular baby names.
But the husband nixed most of them, including my most favorites.
So since my days of naming babies are gone, I thought I would loan them out to anyone searching. After all, Paityn’s middle name was found (see, stolen) on a fellow blog. (Any guesses where I got her middle name??)
Boys – this list is of course short since we stopped adding to it once we found out we were having a girl. I don’t know what Guy would have thought, but in my mind if we had a boy, his name would most certainly have been Declan.
Rowan
Lawson
Declan
Girls – My top two contenders were: Millicent Lux (Millie for short) and Harley Noelle. Guy hated them both. When we finally decided on Paityn Luella, we were between that and Harper Lux. There are so many great girl names out there that you almost can’t go wrong.
First names:
Alba
Rowan
Baya
Sawyer
Isla
Novalee
Harley
Millie
Girl Middle names:
Luna
Lux
Story
Bliss
Lyra
Carys
I’d love to know if my list inspired any of your children’s names!
Liz is a just a mom trying to keep it real about how little she sleeps, how often she gets puked on and how much she loves them. You can find her here every day writing about real-mom moments.

I love reading other people’s name lists! I totally know which blogger’s name tastes you like after reading your lists 🙂 I’m such a stalker.
I love Luella, and Isla is gorgeous! A friend of mine named her daughter Sawyer and I think it’s one of the cutest names ever.

I think you and I should have babies together. It would be more fun naming a baby with you than it is with my husband.

We actually considered the name Millicent for a long time because I saw it on your blog! My husband never fully got on board with it though

Dang, husbands. There could be two Miliicent’s running around right now if not for them. 🙂 I just love that name!

I love Rowan, but my husband won’t go for it. He actually likes Beckett now, which I see was on your list. We have the girl name decided on, but nowhere close with a boy name. The list is huge!

I comment when I especially enjoy a article on a website or if I have something to add to the

of questions for you if you tend not to mind. Is it only me
or does it seem like some of these responses appear like
written by brain dead folks? 😛 And, if you are posting at additional online
social sites, I’d like to keep up with everything new you have to
post. Could you make a list the complete urls of your communal pages like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or linkedin profile?
