Keeping a bathroom smelling fresh can be difficult. Obviously, we do some of our smelliest business in that room and want to keep it from stinking.
I want myself and my guests to walk into my bathroom and not smell anything that may or may not have happened in their earlier. However, I can’t and don’t want to keep a candle burning at all times.
Lucky for us, I’ve got some incredibly easy and effective ways to keep your bathroom from smelling bad without a single air freshener or candle. They work great, are easy to do and super inexpensive. Check them out!
5 Simple Bathroom Smell Hacks
1. Toilet Paper with Scented Tube
This tip is my favorite of all because it’s the easiest. You’re keeping toilet paper in your bathroom constantly, right? Why not let it work on making it smell good!
Angel Soft® with Fresh Lavender-Scented Tube smells awesome.
The lavender scent comes right from inside the tube. I could literally smell lavender from the package before I even opened it!
My bathroom has consistently smelled great since I started using this without ever having to light a single candle. Win!
2. DIY Poo Spray
You’ve seen these “use before you go” sprays, right? Basically, you leave it by the toilet and spray into the toilet before you go number two. It totally eliminates any smell.
You can make your own pretty easily with just some essential oils and witch hazel. One Good Thing by Jillee has a great recipe for you.
3. Keep Baking Soda Around
Just like you keep baking soda in the fridge to remove odors, you can use it in the bathroom as well. If you don’t like the look of the baking soda box sitting out, you can pour a little into a glass dish and leave it on the counter or the back of the toilet. Switch it out once a week.
4. Put a Fabric Sheet In The Trash Can
Every time you change the trash bag in the bathroom, toss a fabric sheet in. It’s a subtle scent that will help control bathroom odors. I like to use a lavender scent so it matches the smell from my Angel Soft.
5. A Small Odor Eliminating Plant
A small Boston Fern is the perfect tiny plant that looks really pretty and helps remove odors and clean the air. Keep it on a shelf in a cute planter or you can hang it above the toilet.
Keeping your bathroom smelling fresh is so much easier than I thought. All it takes is just a couple simple ideas to do the trick. I’m a super busy mama with 100 things going on at all times and I’m always on board for anything that saves me time and effort so I can focus on the things that matter. Bathroom odors aren’t usually one of those top priorities.
Try one or two of these hacks along with grabbing a package of Angel Soft® with Fresh Lavender-Scented Tube and your bathroom will smell great every day.
