So your little one is in preschool now. He’s bringing home adorable art day after day and soon your fridge, your desk and your kitchen table are all covered. But you can’t throw it away. No way! How could you?
So what do you do with that heaping pile of preschool art? I’m about to show you some ideas I found!
Saving and Displaying Preschool Art
1. Dedicate a collage wall to framing your children’s favorite pieces like this one on Apartment Therapy. They will be so happy you chose THEIR artwork as decor in your house.
2. Easily interchange pieces of art by clipping them onto this cable wire display from Positively Splendid inspired by Pottery Barn.
3. If you’re planning to digitize the artwork, here is a fabulous tutorial on how to do that from the New York Institute of Photography.
4. After digitizing the art, use this free template from Simple As That to place all the images in one beautiful collage. Make one every year and frame them!
5. Is there an app for that? Of course there is! Artkive helps you take photos of your kids artwork and digitally store it – for free. You can categorize each piece with a date, their age, school grade and title.
6. Shutterfly now has a photo book style designed specifically for children’s art by Paislee Press. It’s called mini masterpieces and has lots of layout styles and journal prompts. These books are gorgeous.
Brady is still waiting for a preschool spot to open up for him, but as soon as he starts handing me paint covered construction paper, I’ll be ready!
Liz is a just a mom trying to keep it real about how little she sleeps, how often she gets puked on and how much she loves them. You can find her here every day writing about real-mom moments.
