Another job that is. Another lay off from another company. Thus is life in the government contracting world. Sometimes they need you and sometimes they don’t. Government spending cuts + draw down in Afghanistan = downsizing. It’s ok – I’m used to it.
The good news about it is that the reason I’m loosing my job is because others are getting to come home: soldiers. That has to mean something, right?
Really I am completely unattached to the job and will happily go home for a few months and spend some time with my kids. If I have it my way, I won’t go back to work again until the kids are in school, but I’m a realist. Unemployment can only last so long.
So this leaves me with time to enjoy my little ones and focus on my beloved blogs. Who knows, maybe this SAHM thing will finally work out for me.
My last day is September 27th so I’ve still five more weeks of work left. Wish me luck on whatever the future has for me. Everything happens for a reason!
Liz is a just a mom trying to keep it real about how little she sleeps, how often she gets puked on and how much she loves them. You can find her here every day writing about real-mom moments.
