Today in the Build Em Up link-up, we’re sharing our discipline ideas. Boy, what a sensitive topic!
I am a mom of two small children which means I am just learning. I don’t know what the heck I’m doing most days and I’m sure by the time I think I’ve got it figured out, my kids will be grown. 🙂
So, even though I could give you lots of ideas you could try that may or may not work, I’m going to share with you my ONE piece of advice I think is best.
Here’s what it is:
Don’t lock in on one idea or punishment. Be ready to change course because what works for your child today may not work tomorrow. Don’t continually put your child in time out if it doesn’t seem to do the trick. You aren’t going to get anywhere – you have to choose a punishment that gets to them.
And remember, you are rocking this mom thing! Whatever you feel is best, IS best.
Liz is a just a mom trying to keep it real about how little she sleeps, how often she gets puked on and how much she loves them. You can find her here every day writing about real-mom moments.

1. AMEN on your piece of advice. 2. I just learned the power of simplicity. I write WAY TOO MUCH in my blog posts. You just proved that saying 1 thing really well can be more powerful than saying 100 things just ok. well done. Thanks so much for linking up for many reasons.
