I have recently been introduced to the complete awesomeness that is E.L.F. cosmetics. For those who don’t know, almost everything on E.L.F. is ONE DOLLAR. Some things like makeup sets, bags etc. are more than a dollar, but your average eye liner, lipstick, nail polish is all $1. I ordered a bunch of things to test it out and see what the quality was really like. At the time I also had a promotional code so I got about 15 items for a little over $14 – including shipping. Awesome, I know. I got my order in about a week and sat down with Matthew to open it all up. He loves smelling things and we sat on the floor individually opening each box and saying, “Mmm, that smells good!” I have been completely in love with everything I’ve bought and am not sure that I’ll ever go back to buying my makeup at WalMart. So far though, I do have some favorites.

Nail Polish Removal Pads – These are the greatest thing ever! No messy bottle or stinky solution – they have a citrus scent. This makes polish removal so much easier its ridiculous. I used 1 pad per hand (or foot).

Plumping Lip Glaze – I got this in Baby Doll and I’m not real sure that it made my lips actually look fuller BUT I love it regardless. It’s pretty and it is not sticky at all. I usually don’t wear gloss because I feel like I just have a huge gob of glaze on my lips but this doesn’t feel like that at all.

Brushes: Eye Shadow Brush – I’ve had expensive brushes in the past and they drove me nuts because they would shed all over my eyes. This one doesn’t so it’s good in my book.

Eyeliner Brush – Same as the other brush – no shedding! I’ve never had and eyeliner brush but kept meaning to buy one so this is my first and I think I will continue to use this tool for a long time.

So the point is, the makeup is great and cheap – the perfect combo for the best things in life. (And no, I have no affiliation to E.L.F. cosmetics – they’re just awesome!)

I love the idea of buying a whole bunch of stuff for only $14! That is more fun than Sephora.

I’ve used ELF before and had great results. It’s so nice to have cheap yet good stuff. I found it here in Singapore for 7 bucks a pop! I about died. I can’t wait to come back to the States where ELF is a dollar again. 🙂

E.L.F. has honestly become one of my favorite affordable beauty brands lately. Their products feel fresh, simple, and surprisingly high quality for the price. I started with their tinted moisturizer and now I’m hooked on their blushes too. Funny enough, when I once had a delivery issue, I thought about how easy it was to get help when I called the Johnson And Johnson customer service number for something similar—it’s those little touches of good communication that make you loyal to a brand. E.L.F. just gives that same friendly, down-to-earth vibe that makes beauty routines fun again.
