We are getting SO excited for the new Fantastic Four movie! My son loves all things Marvel and so of course, he can’t wait for this new film. We love having movie nights so in honor of this new flick, we came up with a new way to snack on our favorite movie treat: popcorn!
We made these Fantastic Four inspired popcorn bars and they were soooooo good.
To make these, you only need three ingredients: Pop Secret popcorn (you can use any flavor, we like butter), mini marshmallows and butter.
To make them Fantastic Four bars like we did, you’ll need some colorful sprinkles. We picked this combo with two shades of blue, green and white.
These are sort of a hybrid of popcorn balls and rice krispie treats. They are totally messy but really yummy so the sticky fingers are worth it.
All you have to do is pop some popcorn and lay it out onto a baking sheet. Scoop it out of the bag so that you don’t take the leftover kernels with you. You do not want to bite into one of those!
Then, melt the butter in the microwave. We started with 1/4 a cup on our first batch but when we got to our second, we cut it about in half. The more butter, the runnier the marshmallow mixture will be.
After the butter melts, add in about half a bag of the marshmallows and pop it in the microwave again. When it’s all melted together, pour it onto the popcorn.
Use a spoon that is coated with butter to push the popcorn down and compress it together. Then, add sprinkles on top.
Leave it in the fridge for a bit and cut it into squares! Your fingers will be sticky but you won’t care one bit.
You can even use your popcorn to get a free ticket!! Buy any 3 Pop-Secret items between 7/31 – 8/31 and get a Free ticket to the Fantastic Four movie (up to $5) while supplies last. We grabbed our boxes at Walmart.
