As a mom, I know how absolutely crazy the first few days home with a newborn can be. I’m sure you will agree! I love showering the new baby with gifts, but more than that, I love taking care of the brand new mommy. There are some great gift ideas for her out there, but today I’ve got a really sweet idea you can make in minutes.

If someone you know just had a baby and you want a quick and easy way to show her some love, you can make this new mommy survival kit in just minutes.

New Mommy Survival Kit

The kids and I took a quick trip to Sam’s Club® to stock up on all of our favorite things. Many of the items we grabbed were things we always keep in the house so we just pulled a few out of the package to put in our kit!

You can include anything you think the new mom would love. I try to stick to a few simple categories: food, drinks, pampering and documenting.

For this kit we included:

A simple, healthy snack of Veggie Straws and a KIND bar.

You can grab large boxes of each of these at Sam’s Club.

Next, we added a Vitamin Water Zero (my favorite because there is no sugar) and a little caffeine because we know how sleepy those new mom’s are!

Every mom needs a fresh notebook and pen so we included a couple of different sizes. I was always writing the last time baby ate, how long they nursed, etc.

Finally, we added a new chapstick and a face mask. I love this mask because it’s so simple – you literally just put it on and go to sleep. New moms don’t have time for spa days but they should still get a little pampering!

I have always loved getting our diapers there because we save so much money! You can even purchase them online and get free shipping. Plus, now they offer a subscription service so you can set up shipping intervals and never run out of diapers. (Isn’t running out the worst?)
