The Perfect Kids Tablet (and one for you!)

giveaway

It seems like the minute Brady was old enough to crawl he was reaching for my tablet. Ok so maybe it wasn’t quite that early, but the child has been an electronics enthusiast from very early on. I bet yours is, too.

The thing is, I have struggled to find a tablet that he loves to play and learn with, but is also safe for him to use. We have purchased several devices over the years and the ones that are labeled for kids seem to be far less advanced. On the other hand, the ones that are for an older age group easily take them right into the land of the Internet where they are free to roam. Even the best parental controls I put in place didn’t stop him from seeing inappropriate things. But then I found the Kurio Xtreme Tablet!

The Perfect Kids' Tablet (and one for you!) Save

If you allow your child on the Internet, the device features a secure and browser-independent ‘Kurio Genius’ Internet filtering system. That means it has security levels covering over 500 million websites and in-app web filtering. Your kids are not going anywhere they shouldn’t be and that puts me at such ease.

The Perfect Kids Tablet

First and foremost, I approve every single app or game that is added to his profile. He has his profile that holds all of his fun stuff that he easily gets to. Then, there is a parental section that requires my password to enter. It also lets parents set play time limits and restrict certain websites. Since the Kurio Xtreme works with Google Play we can still get all of his favorite apps he had on other tablets like his favorite cartoon shows. But again, the only person that can download those are me.

Save

That’s enough about me and how much I love the Kurio Xtreme; let’s talk about Brady. He adores it. In all honesty, before I got this tablet I was concerned it wouldn’t have enough things on it that he liked, but I was so wrong. It comes with 90 kid-friendly games already there and ready to play! And they’re fun games – games he actually really enjoys playing.

Save

Plus, if you get worried about your kids sitting around playing games and not being active you will love this part. The Kurio Xtreme features body motion gaming. I saw Brady one day sitting on his butt, frantically kicking his legs up and down for several minutes. I asked him what he was doing and he told me he was swimming. They can race, ski, play soccer and yes, swim.

Now that I’ve got you all excited about how amazing this is, I’m not going to leave you hanging – I’m going to give somebody one! To enter for a chance to win a Kurio Xtreme Tablet, leave me a comment telling me what feature of a kids tablet is the most important to you. That’s it!

I am looking for a nice kid safe tablet for my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter and the Kurio Xtreme sounds like it fits all my requirements. I love that the Kurio Xtreme can be safe, entertaining, and educational for children. My granddaughter can’t keep her hands off of mine or her mothers laptop when we have them on so it would be fantastic to have her very own tablet. Thanks for posting the info about the Kurio Xtreme.

Excellent Job! Seriously don’t know how I found your post but for Christmas I so wanted to get my nephew a tablet but all the ones i found were not advanced enough for my little 5 year old gaming wizard where i believe he has obtained all his skills using my sister’s phone. He has it more than she does! And since she moved 1200 miles away from me recently… I start to feel sorry for myself when she doesn’t text back right away sometimes. Then the light bulb goes off and i realize… My little nephew Vance probably has her iphone! And the fact it comes with so many games… BONUS plus the parental restrictions… Bigger BONUS. And games that get their butt moving… PERFECTION! :)) Seriously don’t know how I found your post but for Christmas I so wanted to get my nephew a tablet but all the ones i found were not advanced enough for my little 5 year old gaming wizard where i believe he has obtained all his skills using my sister’s phone. My grandson is 6 years old. He has dyslexia and is also ADHD his attention span isn’t very long. So when he comes to my house he always wants to jump on my laptop to play games. When he was living with his mother she went through many tablets with him because they broke so easily and one thing or another was wrong with them. Not enough storage, games were not appropriate for his age, didn’t have adult supervision and was getting games and seeing things he shouldn’t be seeing on line. So when his mother abandoned him a year ago he went to another state and lived with his grandmother there and because his father is no longer with us, his grandmother is letting me have my grandson for Christmas this year.

What I find to be most important is my grandsons safety while learning online with games that are age appropriate without having to worry about anyone hurting him. I love the fact that some of the games are interactive and has body motion gaming. This is a great way for children to still be able to get in exercise so they aren’t just laying around doing nothing. Then the fact that you can download from other tablets I am also assuming if you have a sim card you can also download movies, pictures, and things you stored on your other laptop as well. I think the greatest gift a person can give a child is the gift of learning. My grandson is so far behind his class in reading and comprehension due to his disabilities that I worry so much about him not having parents around to help him out with his grandmother working two jobs to support my grandson he doesn’t have a lot of supervision helping him with his homework and definitely needs all the help he can get. I think this would be a great learning tool. I am disabled and have cancer this year so I don’t know how many more Christmases I am going to have with my grandson so I am hoping I win a Kurio Xtreme because it has the most fantastic features I have ever seen. I can’t ever afford a gift like this for Christmas due to my fixed income on disability. This is just one of those types of gifts I just hope someone will be able to buy him again one day if I don’t win this awesome Kurio Xtreme.

I like the parental controls–app approval, time limits, etc. I like being able to restrict certain websites (like Youtube) and have it inaccessible after bedtime, just in case they try to smuggle it into their rooms. It’s nice being able to hand it over to them and not monitor every little thing because the monitoring is built in.

I just wish they’d make a kids “smart phone!”
