Have you all seen this box of sunshine idea floating around on Pinterest?
It’s adorable, isn’t it? I just loved the idea of sending someone a little package in the mail for no good reason. Something to brighten their day.
I started collecting yellow things a year ago and kept them in a bag which I lost. I have no clue where it went.
Have you seen a box of random yellow things?
Umm, no?
So I went out and bought more to surprise my best friend from high school who lives all the way in North Carolina and I never get to see anymore. (Hi, Karen!)
Inside her box of sunshine was:
-Cosmo magazine (the cover happened to be yellow!)
-Nail polish
-A Luna bar
-A face mask
-Peanut M&M’s
-St. Ives face scrub
-Airborne chewables
-Chapstick
-Love necklace
I packaged it up in a little white box filled with yellow crinkle paper and printed the free printable from HappyMoneySaver.com. It just so happened I had green and yellow patterned duct tape to seal it up. It was perfect.
She text me that she loved it and I know she had no idea it was coming. Those are the most things to give people – the unexpected!
