Recently I showed you guys my favorite sinus bath for kicking your congestion quick and natural. I adore that recipe and wanted to share with you another great version of it – Sinus Shower Bombs!
As much as I love the idea of soaking in a hot bath when you’re not feeling so great, often we just don’t have the time. Sometimes it’s a late morning and we’re running late for school or work and you definitely don’t get the luxury of a long bath. So for those days, here is my absolute fave shower bomb.

DIY Sinus Shower Bomb
This is your average shower bomb recipe: baking soda + water. It’s so simple. Scoop a cup of baking soda into a bowl and verrry slowlyyyy pour 1/3 of water into it. You will pour the water in a tiny bit at a time, stirring after each pour. You want to get a clumpy consistency without it being runny.
Then put them into a mold or muffin tin. I’ve heard people have really great results from silicone molds but I haven’t tried that. For these, I used my funny faces treat pan. I love this thing and I use it all the time for all sorts of stuff. For bath bombs, it makes the perfect shape and size and yes, if you flip it them over when you’re done they say cool and happy which is a total bonus. Make sure you pack the mixture into the tin.
You can leave these in here to dry but it will take days… literally. So I bake it at 300 for about 30 minutes and once it has cooled down, I place it in the freezer for a bit to get them pop out. This is when I add my essential oils.
You will add 2 drops of Eucalyptus and 1 drop of Peppermint. Just drop them right on top of the tabs. When you put them in the shower under the hot water it will fill it with a soothing aroma that your sinuses will love.
These fit perfectly in a wide-mouth mason jar (my favorite) and makes for a really sweet gift. Plus, I have a free printable to go with it! Just click here to download and print!
