My name is Elizabeth. I am 26 years old and I live in Kansas.
I started a blog in 2004 around the time that my husband and I started dating. I had random postings about him and also lots of stories about my dogs when they were puppies. Somehow, someway, the blog was deleted or lost after not posting for an extended period of time. When I realized what I had lost and how important journaling our lives are, I started another blog.
I started Love and Marriage after I got engaged and chronicled all through our wedding planning. We got married on September 5th, 2008 (read all about it here and here).
And in June 2010 I gave birth to our beautiful son, Brady Madden. He is the love of our lives and may very well be the only lovie we create. I adore being his mother but I openly admit it’s hard.
I love photography, singing, reading and watching television that is surely lowering my IQ. I don’t cook well. We eat too much fast food. My dogs shed. I’m always covered in puke. But to me, life is grand.
Liz is a just a mom trying to keep it real about how little she sleeps, how often she gets puked on and how much she loves them. You can find her here every day writing about real-mom moments.

Elizabeth,
Hello. I’m a producer in New York, and am contacting you after reading your blog – which is interesting, honest, entertaining…
I’m working on a really cool project – a series of short films for the Web and, maybe, TV – and thought you and your husband might be an ideal couple to interview.
The project – YOUR MONEY STORY – will explore the financial pressures on young people in America. Created by an award-winning production company (with an Oscar and Emmys to its name) the project will feature a dozen stories – one of them from a couple who can speak frankly, and with some humor, about money and their marriage. For more detailed information about the project, check us out online at:

If you’re interested and think you have a story to tell, we’d love to hear more, and invite you to e-mail us at:

Hope to hear from you!
Cheers & a happy holiday week,
Molly Raskin
